There is something to be said for capturing a Christmas movie on TV, but sometimes the holiday mood strikes when, there isn’t anything interesting on TV… or in the middle of summer. That doesn’t mean you have to wait until December or dig up an old DVD to enjoy a holiday movie! Fortunately, the internet is here with Christmas movies that feel beautiful and real Christmas movies all year round.

1. Elf
Elf is a 2003 American Christmas comedy Movie. The film focuses on Buddy, the man who was adopted and raised by Santa’s elves. After learning about his adoption, Buddy would travel to New York City to meet his biological father while also spreading Christmas fun in the cynics world in the process.
The story of Buddy starts the night before Christmas, when a child in an orphanage enters Santa’s sack and is unknowingly returned to the North Pole. When the baby was found in the workshop, the elves named him Buddy.
2. Jack Frost
Jack Frost is an American drama movie that came around in 1998, starring actor Michael Keaton and Kelly Preston. Keaton character is not really shown much in the movie, as he plays the role of a father’s name Jack Frost, who passed away after being involved in a car accident before returning to life as a snowman.
Before his death, Frost was the lead singer of a rock band known as “Jack Frost Band”, based in the city of Medford, Colorado, who earned a living by creating blues covers and their various songs in hopes of signing a recording contract.
3. A Christmas Carol
A Christmas Carol is a an American Christmas movie that was released in 2009. It is a film adaptation of the 1843 story of Charles Dickens of the same name which tells the story of the Ebenezer Scrooge In 1843 on Christmas Eve in London.
Ebenezer Scrooge, a disdainful old businessman, did not share in the joy of Christmas. He rejects his nephew Fred’s invitation to his annual Christmas dinner, and he rejects the promise of the two gentlemen to raise money for the charity. His unkindness would lead to him being hunted by 3 spirits.
4. Jingle all the way
Jingle All the Way is an American family Christmas comedy film that was released in 1996. It starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad as two fathers who compete against one another.
Howard Langston (Schwarzenegger) overworked and postal worker Myron Larabee (Sinbad), both desperately trying to buy a Turbo-Man act for their sons during last-minute Christmas shopping. The title of the film is borrowed from the lyrics of the famous Christmas song “Jingle Bells”.
5. Almost christmas
Almost Christmas is another American American comedy movie released in 2016. It’s the holidays and a dysfunctional family comes together for the first time since the death of their mother.
Before retiring, Walter Meyers (Danny Glover) worked as an automotive engineer, but Walters life wouldn’t be the same after losing his wife Grace (Rachel Kylian) ten months earlier.
6. Home Alone
Home Alone is a 1990 American American comedy film. Actor Macaulay Culkin plays the role of eight-year-old Kevin, who protects his home from two thieves known as Harry and Marv (Pesci and Stern) after his family left him home alone by accident.
The McCallister family is getting ready to go on vacation in Paris for the holidays, and decide to all gather at Peter and Kate home in the Chicago area the night before their departure.
7. Home Alone 2
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is a 1992 American comedy film. This movie continues the story of the 10-year-old boy Kevin McCallister (Macauley Culkin), who once again must protect himself against two criminals, Harry and Marv (Pesci and Stern), after he was accidentally separated from his family over the Christmas holidays.
The McCallister family this time decided to prepare for a trip to Miami for the holidays, and just like the first movie, the whole would all come together at the home of Peter and Kate in Chicago. Their youngest son, Kevin, sees Florida as contradictory to Christmas, because of its lack of Christmas trees.
8. The Polar Express
Polar Express is an American Christmas computer-animated musical adventure film release in 2004. This is a story about a young boy who, on Christmas Eve, saw a mysterious train heading to the North Pole parked outside his window and was invited by its driver.
The boy joins many other children as the train makes its way to the north pole to see Santa Claus in preparation for Christmas. Starting back in the days before Christmas Day, 1955, the boy began to doubt the existence of Santa Claus.
9. The best man holiday
The Best Man Holiday is a Christmas American movie that was released in 2013. This film talks about Mia Sullivan (Monica Calhoun) who is the wife of Football player Lance Sullivan (Morris Chestnut), has sent letters to all her friends requesting them to join her, Lance and the family for Christmas:
Julian “Murold” Murchison Perrineau) and his wife Candace Sparks (Regina Hall), Harper Stewart (Taye Diggs) and his pregnant wife Robyn (Sanaa Lathan), her best friend Jordan Armstrong (Nia Long) and boyfriend Brian McDonald (Eddie Cibrian), Quentin “Q” Spivey (Terrence Howard), and Shelby Taylor (Melissa De Sousa).
10. Miracle on 34th street
Miracle on 34th Street is a popular American comedy film from the year 1994. Dorey Walker (Elizabeth Perkins) who is the director of special events at the Cole Department Store, dismisses Tony Falacchi (Jack McGee) from being a Santa Claus at the Cole Department Store after he got drunk before participating in a Thanksgiving show.
As soon as she tries to find a replacement, she sees an elderly man (Richard Attenborough) berating a drunken Santa before the show. After Dorey desperately asks him to take over, he would introduce himself as Kris Kringle.
11. The preacher’s wife
The Preacher’s Wife is another American comedy movie released in 1996. It tells the story of Rev. Henry Biggs (Courtney B. Vance) who is the pastor of a small American Baptist church that struggles in an area of the New York City that is known for its poverty.
Membership is declining, Henry is being dragged 100 times, according to the needs of his parishioners, and church finances are in crisis. Henry has put a lot of pressure on architect Joe Hamilton (Gregory Hines) to sell church property so that Hamilton can build luxury condominiums on the site.
12. The holiday calendar
The Holiday Calendar is a romantic American Christmas comedy film from the year 2018. This is a story about a struggling photographer name Abby Reilly (Kat Graham), who was given an Advent calendar by her grandfather.
At first, Abby isn’t exciting, but decides to take the calendar home with her. The calendar begins on December 1. Abby begins to connect the inside of the calendar each day with what happens in real life, believing the calendar to be magical.
13. The dog who saved Christmas
The Dog Who Saved Christmas is a comedy American Christmas movie made in 2009. Zeus, is a former police dog and a Labrador Retriever, who had problems with barking after his barking had cancelled a five-year investigation.
His partner was unable to shoot straight and went to the pound and he was welcomed by George Bannister as the first Christmas gift and as a good housekeeping dog, but mom hesitates and didn’t want the dog to stay.
14. The ultimate Christmas present
The Ultimate Christmas Present is a movie from Disney Channel Original released in 2000, which tells a story about two best friends, Allison Rachel “Allie” Thompson (Hallee Hirsh) and Samantha Elizabeth “Sam” Kwan (Brenda Song).
The two friends, once picked up a weather machine in a trash can at a shack in the woods and after discovering how the machine work, they both decided to have a white Christmas by using the machine to make ice in Los Angeles.
15. This Christmas
This Christmas is a Christmas season story focused on the Whitfield family, their first child to come home for the first time in four years. It’s the holiday season, and the Whitfields family decided to celebrate together.
Matriarch, Shirley Ann “Ma’Dere” Whitfield invites her six children to join her and her boyfriend, Joe for the holidays. During the Christmas season, The Whitfield family overcame many temptations and obstacles.
